The Deron Cherry Foundation is thrilled to announce Teacher Appreciation Week, taking place from July 29th to August 3rd, 2024. This special week aims to honor and celebrate the dedication and hard work of teachers who go above and beyond for their students.
As part of the festivities, nominated teachers will have the opportunity to win exciting prizes, including a school supply “shopping experience,” IKEA gift cards, and a classroom makeover courtesy of IKEA.
The school supply “shopping experience” (Invite only) will be hosted at the West Central Missouri Regional Lodge #50, Fraternal Order of Police in Lee’s Summit on August 1, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This event promises to be a fun and rewarding opportunity for teachers to stock up on much-needed supplies for their classrooms.
Additionally, 25 lucky winners will be selected to receive an IKEA gift card and 1 incredible teacher will win a classroom makeover at the IKEA store in Merriam, KS, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 10:00am. These prizes aim to further support teachers in creating engaging and inspiring learning environments for their students.
