The Deron Cherry Foundation is thrilled to announce Teacher Appreciation Week, taking place from July 28th to August 2, 2025. This special week aims to honor and celebrate the dedication and hard work of teachers who go above and beyond for their students.
As part of the festivities, nominated teachers will have the opportunity to win exciting prizes, including a school supply “shopping experience".
The school supply “shopping experience” (Invite only) will be hosted at the West Central Missouri Regional Lodge #50, Fraternal Order of Police in Lee’s Summit on July 31, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This event promises to be a fun and rewarding opportunity for teachers to stock up on much-needed supplies for their classrooms.
Deron Cherry, founder of the Deron Cherry Foundation, expressed his gratitude for the incredible work teachers do every day. “Teachers are the unsung heroes in our communities, and it’s important to show our appreciation for their dedication and passion,” said Cherry. “We’re excited to partner with IKEA to provide these well-deserved rewards and recognition to deserving teachers in the Kansas City area.”
